Beginning Coming Update and Random Talk


Hey!

Just wanted to give some random info about Alizas Journey when I started working on it.

When I started to work on Alizas Journey, Aliza supposed to have ability to change between Archer and Warrior.

But because I was new to World Editor, I had no idea how to do it.

Then I changed idea to that youve three different ways to continue the campaign, which were of course basic ideas: Warrior, Mage, Ranger.

But this was thrown away because of huge amount of work, such as Map work, how the story goes on because I planned it to have different endings and so on.

Like early version of Alizas Journey Beginning, there was three places to end the campaign, some people may remember those but I changed it to only magic because of... Magic?

This change was probably in version 1.0.5.

Actually Alizas Journey - Beginning were supposed to have Special Chapter where Aliza could use ALL of those three powers, so I succeed to make simple system to change hero to other.

But because of I didnt know how to save learned abilities, I stopped working on it.



Some time later, I learned the how to save heroes, and so I started to work on Alizas Journey - Magic, and changed the ending of Beginning.

And there youve it, small story how many times I changed my plans on my campaign.

But now, Heres the updated list of updates which are coming in 1.1.4 version of Beginning.

Version 1.1.4
*General Changes
- Additional "Alizas Journey" Quest is now removed from all chapters.
- Quest logs uses now Quest requirements. (Quest log looks better!)
*Chapter 1
- Minor Changes.
*Chapter 2
- Starting "Movie" is no longer in cinematic mode.
*Chapter 4
- Minor Changes.
*Chapter 5
- Loading screens text updated.
- Human Female says the message only once. (Bug Fix)
*Chapter 6
- Chapter name updated.
- Loading screens text updated.
- Save the kids and save the footman quests are merged into one, the objectives are not changed.
*Chapter 9
- Magic Addiction causes noise and effect when the damage is dealt.
- Magic Addiction takes longer to deal the damage, but also deals slightly more than previously.
- Burning Oil area effect is slightly smaller, but does slightly more damage.
- Minor Changes.
*Chapter 10
- Loading screens text updated.
- Silondrei can pick up mana and health runes.
- Starting Units get damaged even if you skip the cinematic.
- Terrain & Detail Updates.
- Some Minor Changes.
*Chapter 12
- Gnolls now grant gold and wood when killed (Depends on type), gold coin drops has been removed.
- Permission for blacksmith is now granted at wave 6 instead of wave 7.
- When you upgrade Improved bows from blacksmith, player blue (Citizens) will get it as well.
- Fountains now provides mana and health faster, also grants small speed bonus while nearby.
- Gnolls stats have been changed. (Ups and downs)
*Chapter 13
- Typo fix.
*Credits
- Loading screens text updated.


The update is probably coming on next week.

Barbarian Level 70 Paragon Level 191

Ive been thoroughly enjoying Reaper of Souls, so much so that Ive skipped posting here for some time (sorry, guys) and just concentrated on leveling-up my barbarian character. As you can see from the screenshot below, Ive been spending quite some time transmogrifying and buying up dyes making sure everythings coordinated and shit. Right now my barbarian is the most powerful (i.e., the one able to dish out the most damage) among my characters but I have a feeling that my crusader is going to overtake him really fast (at least until he levels up to 70 - just 2 more levels to go). Also, hes the sugar daddy of the bunch, the one tasked to make the most money for spending by the group. Ive given him some rest in the last couple of weeks however, preferring to adventure with my crusader and exploring his different abilities. Ill be getting him back on track soon enough though as the barbarian is my favorite class. Im currently playing at Torment II but I hope to progress to Torment III as so...
